The aqir built this. The faction that took the south-west ransacked it, renamed itself qiraji, and slept in it for thousands of years while its numbers grew. Then the gates closed for a thousand years and nobody swept up. It is not ruined by war so much as by neglect — an insect city that stopped being maintained.
