A zone with no dungeon
Feralas opened in patch 0.7, nine months before Dire Maul existed. For all that time the ruins were scenery you rode past. Patch 1.3.0 was titled "Ruins of the Dire Maul", and turned a levelling zone into an endgame destination overnight.
